Charity accepts substantial pay-out

THE trustees of a UK-based charity yesterday accepted substantial undisclosed libel damages over a claim that an al-Qaeda commander was one of its "favourite speakers".

Idris Atcha, Mohammed Idris, Zaker Patel and Muhammad Ahmad Seedat of the Amanat Charity Trust had brought proceedings in London's High Court against Express Newspapers.
