Cabinet faces PM coup claim

SOME of the Government's most senior figures were today facing claims they gave tacit support to the latest plot to oust Gordon Brown.

Plotters behind calls for a secret ballot on Mr Brown's future claim Cabinet ministers were set to join the coup. They were named as Foreign Secretary David Miliband, Justice Secretary Jack Straw, Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy, International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander, Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth and Commons leader Harriet Harman.
