Bullet and £21k in cash stolen from MoD
Answering a written parliamentary question, Defence Minister Mark Francois revealed scores of reported thefts over seven months this year.
More than £21,000 in cash is included on the list, including a single theft of £18,000. Also featured are copper hot water cylinders worth £2,320, body armour and combat uniforms worth £5,470, firefighting equipment valued at £2,480 and £26,000 of aluminium.
Bowman communications system equipment worth £8,853 was taken but Mr Francois insisted there was only a minimal threat to security because it “cannot be used without additional user information”.
