Building workers balloted for strike

Workers at construction giant Balfour Beatty are to be re-balloted for strikes in a long-running row over pay and skills.

The union has warned that major projects such as power stations and London’s Crossrail scheme could be hit if the workers, including plumbers, electricians and heating engineers, back the stoppages.
