Britons fear the worst on economy

BRITONS are among the most pessimistic in the world about their country’s economic prospects. Just 9 per cent of respondents in a survey expect an improvement in their economy in six months, a figure beaten only by the French with 3 per cent.

Of the other G8 countries, Canadiana, Germans and Americans are most optimistic.
