Book is open on celebrity news and arrivals for 2012

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge having their first child, Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley returning to the BBC together and Ashley and Cheryl Cole remarrying are just some of the novelty bets that Ladbrokes is taking for the new year.

The odds for the Duchess of Cambridge to produce a royal heir are being offered at 2/1, while people can also take a punt on whether her sister, Pippa Middleton, will get engaged in 2012 at 5/1.

After being axed by ITV’s Daybreak, bets can be placed on Chiles and Bleakley to return to do a show together on the BBC at 10/1, while it’s even money that a cast member of ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex will announce a pregnancy. Other bets on celebrities producing offspring include David and Victoria Beckham having another baby at 6/4, Katie Price and Peter Andre to announce a pregnancy at 25/1, and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to have a baby or adopt at 1/4.
