Book alleges 'reign of terrror' by Prime Minister

CLAIMS about low morale among Gordon Brown's staff were made in a book by a former Downing Street adviser.

The book quotes unnamed serving and former aides describing the Prime Minister showing "extraordinary flashes of anger" when events go against him, shouting at staff and kicking the furniture.

In Where Power Lies Lance Price – Tony Blair's deputy communications director from 1998-2000 – talks of Mr Brown's "reign of terror".
