Body of songwriter found on railway line near station

A GIFTED songwriter who worked on songs for stars including George Michael, Boy George and Ian Dury has been found dead on a railway line.

Gena Dry, 46, who is believed to have lived alone in Islington, north London, was found dead at Burnham Station, near Slough, Berkshire, last Thursday.

Friends of Ms Dry yesterday said they did not know whether her experiences of treatment under the disgraced therapist Derek Gale had contributed to the tragedy.

Ms Dry gave evidence against Mr Gale, 59, before he was struck off. She had told how she suffered from flashbacks and nightmares following specialist "arts therapy" sessions with Mr Gale.

Police have launched an investigation into Ms Dry's death, saying that it currently remained "unexplained".

Her remains were found after the driver of the 11:15am Paddington to Cardiff service reported passing over a body.

Two friends leaving her flat with belongings said they were reluctant to discuss Ms Dry's death.

One, a woman, said: "It's a difficult time at the moment. Apparently there is an investigation going on."
