Bizarre cheese & biscuits dish prompts charity bid

WHEN Diane Murray ordered cheese and biscuits during a visit to a restaurant, the dish she received was not entirely what she was expecting.

Instead of the traditional serving of different styles of cheese complemented with savoury biscuits, crackers or oatcakes, Diane, from Ayrshire, was given a perfectly presented plate of different cheeses arranged side by side with Jammie Dodgers, bourbons and custard creams.

Seeing the lighter side of the situation, Diane and her step daughter Steph tweeted a pic of the unusual spread.

Steph wrote: “If you need cheering up, here’s a photo of the time my step mum asked for cheese and biscuits at a hotel,”

Diane has promised to reveal of the hotel where she was served the bizarre dish in return for a donation to her chosen charity, Comic Relief.
