Bird flu costs turkey sales £9m

TURKEY sales are still suffering in the wake of the bird flu outbreak at a Bernard Matthews farm.

The downturn cost the industry 9.4 million in the 12 weeks since the H5N1 virus was reported, according to market analysts Nielsen.
