Becks reveals the secret of being a pasta master

David Beckham has revealed his children adore his cooking – because he cooks a good pasta sauce.

The football star said he mastered the recipe while he was on loan to AC Milan.

In an interview for BBC children’s bulletin Newsround, he told how his youngsters go without pocket money if they do not do their chores.

He said: “Without a doubt, they have to earn it.

“They have their chores. They have to put their plates in the dishwasher or make their bed in the morning – and if they don’t do it, they don’t get their pocket money.”

In the interview to tie in with Father’s Day, the father of four said his cookery was a hit with his youngsters.

Beckham said: “I always cook for them. They love my bolognese because when I lived in Italy for a while, I went to a cooking school.”

The revelation comes after his wife has repeatedly posted messages on Twitter about the goodies she has been cooking.

Beckham also said that they share the responsibilities of taking a tough line with the children where needed.
