Beckhams officially deny split rumours

DAVID and Victoria Beckham have taken the unusual step of announcing they are not splitting up after a spate of internet rumours suggested a separation announcement was imminent.

PR managing director Andrew Bloch posted on his Twitter feed yesterday: "I am hearing from a number of sources that Victoria and David Beckham are due to announce their separation in a few hours."

He later wrote: "I have confirmation direct from Team Beckham that the separation rumour is utter nonsense. Very good news indeed." Nonetheless news of a potential split spread like wildfire and was picked up by news organisations worldwide.
