When he then tried to drive out of the car park his Vauxhall Astra was hit by a silver Skoda Fabia driven by a third man in an attempt to stop him leaving. As the owner got out of his car to check on his baby daughter he was hit by the Skoda.

The three men then fled the scene.

The incident took place in Belhus Park Leisure Centre car park shortly before 8pm on Thursday.

The 20-year-old driver suffered serious leg injuries while his 19-year-old partner sustained a foot injury. Their baby was unharmed.
