Baboon troop puts Hyundai’s new car to the test

A CONGRESS of 40 curious Baboons set upon Hyundai’s new i30 at Knowsley Safari Park in a comical test of durability.

For ten hours the new car was inspected, chewed, pulled, poked and prodded by the mischievous monkeys.

Baboons are notoriously nosy, especially around cars — as anyone who’s ever visited a safari park might be well aware of — so they were ideal for this particular inspection job.

David Ross of Knowsley safari park said: “I’ve seen thousands of cars pass through this enclosure, get mobbed by monkeys, and none have lasted the distance as well as this”.

Hyundai donated £1,000 to the Primate society of Great Britain in return for the use of Knowsley’s primates, luckily for the car manufacturer their new model came away looking nearly unscathed.
