Average pay rise is just 1.5 per cent

THE trend for pay rises is still "almost flat", with basic increases averaging just over 1.5 per cent, a report has revealed.

The mid-point of recent deals "crept up" to 1.7 per cent, while pay freezes accounted for more than one in four settlements, said the Labour Research Department.
