Arson suspected as elderly couple die in fire
Rugby: A murder investigation was under way today after an elderly couple died in a suspected arson attack on their sheltered housing complex.
The couple, named locally as Kath and Albert Adams, both 77, were killed when a mobility scooter parked outside their home in Rugby, Warks, was torched and the blaze spread to the property.
Hampshire: A man arrested on suspicion of murdering a young mother and her eight-month-old daughter was being questioned by police today.
The 21-year-old man was detained in Fareham yesterday morning.
