Arrest after car explosion

A MAN has been arrested after a car exploded, leaving a woman seriously injured.

Kent Police said the 32-year-old man was in custody after the blast in Vigo, near Meopham, Kent, just after 1pm yesterday.

The injured woman, in her 30s and reportedly heavily pregnant, suffered serious leg wounds. Two children were also in the car but escaped uninjured.
