Arms fair faces mass protest

A MASS protest by anti-arms trade campaigners was expected today as Europe's biggest arms fair starts in Britain.

The biennial Defence Systems Equipment International, which is funded by the Ministry of Defence, was beginning today at the Excel centre in London's Docklands.

Campaigners are angry that countries with bad human rights records have been invited to attend the event, which lasts until Friday.
