Amy Winehouse may be cast in bronze

Plans are being considered for a life-size bronze statue of musician Amy Winehouse to be erected near her home in London.

The singer, who died in her house in Camden Town last year, could be remembered with a monument at the Roundhouse concert hall.

A spokesman for the venue said: “We think it’s important that Amy’s contribution to music is recognised in Camden, but the idea is in its early stages of development at the moment.”

The Back To Black singer was found dead after a lengthy battle with drink and drugs.
