Amy Winehouse admits she assaulted man at pantomime

AMY Winehouse walked free from court yesterday after admitting she assaulted a theatre manager during a pantomime.

The singer lashed out at Richard Pound, 27, during a performance of Cinderella at the Milton Keynes Theatre in Buckinghamshire.

The Back to Black star, who had been drinking ahead of the show, was later overheard muttering obscenities by staff, before she was asked to leave the premises. She then pulled Mr Pound's hair.

Winehouse, 23, pleaded guilty at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court to common assault and public order offences.

She had been charged on 23 December – four days after the incident – having attending a police station voluntarily.

The singer was yesterday given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay 85 in costs and 100 in compensation to her victim.
