Amanda Holden is ‘euphoric’ about return to BGT panel

AMANDA Holden says she is “euphoric” about making her return to the judging panel of Britain’s Got Talent in Edinburgh just over a fortnight after she was in a critical condition in hospital.

The popular star will make her first public appearance after giving birth to second child Hollie, which left her in intensive care.

Holden, 40, was thought to be travelling up on Thursday night after leaving her new baby briefly with her family to resume her role on the panel.

She joked that she was happy to be anywhere after her serious health scare – Holden is thought to have had a blood transfusion after a Caesarean and was in a critical condition for three days.

She has been recovering at home in south west London since being discharged from hospital with her husband Chris Hughes and their other daughter Lexi, six.

“I am euphoric to be heading back to my place at the judges desk – to be honest after the last couple of weeks I’m euphoric to be anywhere,” she said.

“This is just a very fleeting visit to Scotland and, with the weather being so extreme, I’ve decided to let my mum have some quality time with her new granddaughter – but I am looking forward to introducing Hollie to everyone on my next trip.”

Earlier this week she released the first photo of her new addition alongside the family and the picture showed Holden was on the road to recovery and the colour had returned to her cheeks.

The actress and presenter had to step down from the show due to her medical emergency, missing auditions in Cardiff and London.
