Airport security checks 'must be less predictable'

THE Government should introduce more varied, proactive, improved and less predictable security measures at airports, a report by MPs said today.

No-one should not know what security regime they will face when they arrive for flights, the report by the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee added, and it also revealed that the Government had said new full-body scanners being rolled out at airports are currently only around 50-60 per cent effective at detecting threats.
