85 year-old arrested in Stafford by Yewtree police

An 85-year-old man has been interviewed under caution by detectives investigating historic sex offences sparked by the probe set up in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal.

Scotland Yard said he was questioned on Tuesday and Wednesday this week at a police station in Stafford, Staffordshire, by Operation Yewtree detectives in connection with allegations of sexual offences.

The force said he was interviewed under the strand of the investigation they have termed Others and that their inquiries continue.
