PRINCE William and bride-to-be Kate Middleton have visited the grave of Princess Diana ahead of next week's royal wedding, it was reported today.

The couple are believed to have laid flowers at Diana's final resting place at the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire.

A MAN has been bailed by police after a collision in which a woman lost her mother, husband and two foster children when their car plunged into a reservoir.

Police said two cars collided on the B4518 at the Llyn Clywedog reservoir near Llanidloes on Wednesday, and one had entered the water.

Alcoholics and addicts 'dependent' on benefits

MORE than 80,000 people are claiming incapacity benefit for obesity and addiction to alcohol and drugs, according to government figures.

Some 12,880 alcoholics and 9200 drug abusers have been dependent on the benefit for more than ten years.

Employment Minister Chris Grayling said the benefits system had trapped people in a "cycle of addiction and welfare dependency".

The figures are a snapshot of incapacity benefit claimants in August 2010.
