Family tell of ski tragedy

THE family of a British gap year student who plunged to his death from a chalet rooftop in an upmarket French ski resort said they are "overwhelmed".

Edward De Nunzio, 18, fell 16ft from the icy roof as he jumped between buildings in Courchevel during the early hours of Saturday. The trainee ski instructor, from North Yorkshire, had been out with a friend who escaped unharmed.

ENGLAND wicketkeeper Steven Davies has become the country's first serving cricket professional to announce he is gay, describing the revelation as "a massive relief".

Lancashire: Police were today investigating the deaths of three men who died separately in heroin-related incidents in just over an hour. The bodies of Robin Ferguson, 53, Emlyn Hodgkinson, 36, and Zaheer Chaudrey, 32, were all discovered late on Friday night.

Surrey: Police were today appealing for information after a man in his 60s was killed in an apparent hit-and-run incident when his car smashed into a motorway embankment, overturned and caught fire. Police are trying to trace the driver of another car involved in the collision, who drove away from the scene on the M3.
