UK News: Lexus launches recall of its faulty models

CAR maker Lexus is launching two voluntary recalls in Britain, affecting its IS, GS and RX models.

The problems have not been known to cause any accidents so far, the company said.

Lexus is part of the Toyota group which has been hit by massive recalls this year which hit sales.

Footballer arrested over sex assault allegations

A FOOTBALL star has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault by police investigating an alleged incident at a nightclub, it emerged today.

West Ham defender Manuel da Costa is on police bail pending further inquiries.

The Portuguese player was alleged to have molested a woman dancing at Faces nightclub in east London, then assaulted her and two of her friends when a row broke out.

Scotland Yard said allegations had been made by a woman in her early 20s.

Brits shun move abroad

THE number of Britons looking to buy property abroad dipped sharply last month, with interest in America and Australia cooling considerably, it was revealed today.

Internet searches for property overseas fell 17 per cent in September 2010 compared with August 2010, a report by property website Rightmove and foreign exchange company Moneycorp showed.
