UK flush with cash for Bank Holiday

CONSUMERS withdrew a record amount of cash over the Bank Holiday weekend.

New records were set for both the value and volume of transactions between Friday and the end of Monday according to cash machine group Link, with 590 million withdrawn from its machines last Friday.
