Two sought for cash and carry raid

POLICE yesterday issued CCTV images of two men suspected of assaulting and robbing a 61-year-old man of a five-figure sum as he locked up a cash and carry on Dundee's Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate.

The man was attacked and robbed as he was locking the Wing Fung Cash and Carry in Whittle Place on 30 December. The men were caught on camera at the time of the robbery.

A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said they wanted to speak to the two men. One is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, slim, around 5ft 10in and wearing a dark grey coloured hooded top with reflective markings on it.

The second man is also believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, around 5ft 10in, of slim build and wearing light-coloured clothing.

The spokeswoman added: "The 61 year-old man was not physically injured as a result of the incident but has been left extremely shaken."
