Two shot dead after bombs found

Police in Russia's republic of Dagestan say a military helicopter was used to kill two armed men who fled after being spotted near a hidden underground shelter stocked with explosives.

The interior ministry said yesterday that police searching woods had found the shelter, which contained six explosive devices and other components.
