Two people airlifted to hospital after serious crash near Banff involving two motorcycles and a car

Two motorcyclists were airlifted to hospital after a crash which also involved a car this afternoon between Banff and Portsoy.

The road traffic collision took place on the A98 between Banff and Portsoy, at the Boyndie junction at around 4.25pm.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “Around 4.25pm on Tuesday, 1 December, 2020, officers were called to the A98 near Boyndie junction in the Banff area, following a report of a crash involving a car and two motorcycles.

"Emergency services are at the scene.

“The two motorcyclists have been airlifted to hospital.

The A98 which was previously closed due to the accident, reopened at 7.30pm tonight.

Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
