Two men sought by police after ‘unprovoked attack’

A MAN was injured in an “unprovoked” attack on a busy street by two men using metal objects.

The 26-year-old was walking outside an off-licence in Levernside Road in Pollok, Glasgow, at around 4:50pm on Friday when he was approached from behind by two men who attacked him with the weapons.

One of the men was seen crossing the bridge that connects Levernside Road and Brockburn Crescent after the attack, while the other man was spotted getting into a silver car. The victim was taken to hospital with head and hand injuries. He was later discharged.

Strathclyde Police is appealling for witnesses.

It said both of the men were white. One is described as 5ft 9in to 6ft, wearing a blue tracksuit with stripes down the sleeves, black tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and a black cap.

The second man is described as 5ft 7in to 5ft 10in, with black hair. He was wearing a black long-sleeved top and black bottoms.
