Two lorries and car in crash

TWO lorries and a car have crashed on a busy road causing mayhem for motorists.

The two lorries collided with each other and a car then crashed into them on the busy Edinburgh bypass causing roads to be closed and diversions to be put in place.

The accident happened on the road between the Sheriffhall roundabout and the A1 at around 11.45am today.

Police, fire, and ambulance crews were all in attendance but a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said that there were no reports of any casualties.

The road has been closed eastbound at Sheriffhall and the A720 is closed westbound at Craighall.
