Two injured in Fort William '˜chainsaw' incident


Two people have been injured in a disturbance in Fort William, believed to involve a chainsaw, according to reports.
Emergency services were called to a house in Glenkingie Street, in the Caol area of the town.
Police have detained a 49-year-old man in connection with the incident, while a man in his 70s was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he is in a critical but stable condition, according to Police Scotland.

Hide AdA woman in her 60s was treated at Fort William’s Belford Hospital before later being discharged.
A police spokesman said: “The public in the local community are thanked for their patience and understanding whilst the matter was dealt with by officers.”
