Two facing drug charges

TWO men were arrested and charged with alleged drugs and theft offences during a recent crackdown on bogus workmen.

An ongoing initiative to crack down on bogus doorstep callers resulted in more than 50 vehicles being stopped and checked in West Lothian earlier this month.

The two men were charged with stealing copper as well as drugs offences, while their van was found to contain "bogus workmen" type ?yers when it was searched by police officers.

The operation, involving Lothian and Borders Police, Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), trading standards and environmental officers from West Lothian Council is taking place in known hot spots for bogus calling activities.
