Two die in crashes on the same road

Two men have died after separate crashes on the same road. An 82-year-old driver was killed in a one-vehicle collision on the A75 near Twynholm in Dumfries and Galloway at about 6pm on Wednesday.

A few hours later a 22-year-old man died after another one-vehicle crash about three miles west of Newton Stewart. Police have launched investigations.
