Two charged over dealing cocaine worth £2m

TWO men have been accused of being involved in dealing an estimated £2 million worth of cocaine.

Bernard Flanagan, 24, and Stuart McMillan, 26, are charged with being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug between May 2007 and October 2008.

Flanagan, of Almond Crescent, and McMillan of Dobbies Road, both Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, pleaded not guilty to the indictment at the High Court in Livingston yesterday.

The charge sheet lists a number of roads, factory units, public buildings and private addresses across Edinburgh, Bonnyrigg and the north of England where the drug offence was alleged to have taken place.

The locations include Cameron Toll Shopping Centre and Edinburgh Airport as well as Straiton Retail Park, Loanhead; Rosewell Pavilion, Rosewell, and the Staiside Inn, Bonnyrigg.

The charge also specifies the A74(M) northbound near Junction 21; The A702 Edinburgh to Biggar Road near Ninemileburn, Penicuik, Midlothian, and the M74 northbound at Happenden Services, Lanarkshire.

Edinburgh city centre addresses include Victoria Street, London Street and Blair Street.

The trial before Lord Doherty is expected to last three weeks.
