Two appear in court over Glasgow fire death

TWO people have appeared in court following the death of man at a block of flats.

The 47-year-old died after an incident in Kirkton Avenue, in the Knightswood area of Glasgow, at 3.15pm on Saturday.

Nicola McKelvie, 24, appeared on petition at Glasgow Sheriff Court today charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. Ian Fleming, 30, was charged with assault to injury.

They made no plea and were both remanded in custody.

The pair, both from Glasgow, are expected to appear again in court within eight days.
