Twitter reacts as Donald Trump's son opens new golf course

Eric Trump cut the ribbon at the new course which has been named after Robert the Bruce, the 14th century Scottish king who is said to have been born at Turnberry Castle.
He walked on to the course with his wife, Lara, who he said was seven months pregnant, and they were accompanied by a band led by a man dressed as the king.

“I think today we can finally say we made Turnberry great again and I’m incredibly proud of all we accomplished.”
The reaction on Twitter was mixed.
One Twitter user, called @LadyHellsBells, said: “#EricTrump at #Turnberry this morning and I’m 5+ hrs drive away so can’t make it in time. Anyone nearby please give him the welcome he deserves! #resist.”

Echoing that sentiment, @SteveKills posted: “Scottish history according to Trump for American visitors. That man degrades everything.”

However, others were more supportive, with @samorim77 tweeting: “I’m jealous. I wish I could play that course. Update us with the score.”
Golf photographer David Cannon was also impressed and tweeted: “The #Amazing new 9th @TrumpTurnberry #krtb course #wow!”
And @frenchgranny said: “Class or what?”
