Truck safety drive launch

TRANSPORT Minister Stewart Stevenson is using this weekend's Truckfest at Ingliston to launch a new safety campaign aimed at lorry drivers.

The Strike it Out campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of striking a bridge as well as highlighting the cost to the public of repairs and delays.

An annual gathering of trucks and large vehicles, Truckfest takes place tomorrow and Sunday at the Royal Highland Centre.
