Troubled Rangers keeper eyes move to Capital

TROUBLED Rangers star Allan McGregor could be moving to the Capital.

The Ibrox goalie's girlfriend, Leah Shevlin, is said to have been spotted house hunting in Craiglockhart.

Team mate Kevin Thomson already lives in the area and Rangers boss Water Smith is reported to have encouraged McGregor – who was born in Edinburgh – to get out of the "goldfish bowl" of Glasgow.

The couple currently live in a 1 million penthouse in the city's west end.

Last month, McGregor suffered a black eye and a back injury in an alleged assault. Ms Shevlin said she found him unconscious on the pavement, but was later charged with wasting police time.

The houses Ms Shevlin was seen looking at were part of the Graysmill Gait development and have five bedrooms – three en-suite – a double garage and balconies with French windows.

One source was quoted saying: "These houses are the ultimate in luxury. Leah was spotted looking at a few of them and seemed keen.

"It is no secret his gaffer Water Smith would rather McGregor got out of the goldfish bowl of Glasgow.

"Thomson has also urged him to move to Edinburgh. Maybe McGregor is listening to sound advice for once."
