Trio charged over £60k scam of OAPs

Three men have been charged in connection with a scam which saw an elderly couple conned out of more than £60,000.

The couple, aged 90 and 88, from Perth, were targeted by a cold caller on 6 October, who told them there had been a “criminal inquiry” taking place at their bank and asked for their account details.
