Tributes paid to 'kindest human' and Edinburgh mother who died following disturbance at property
Tributes have been paid to a 44-year-old Edinburgh woman who died on Monday evening
Tributes have been paid to an Edinburgh mother who was described as the “kindest human”.
Vikki Soloman was found with serious injuries after police were called to reports of a disturbance at a property in Craigievar Square in East Craigs on Monday night.
Despite efforts by the paramedics on the scene, the 44-year-old aesthetician was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 46-year-old man has been charged in connection with her death and is due to appear in court on Thursday.
Tributes have been pouring in for Ms Soloman since her death, with friends having described her as the “kindest human” who was “beautiful inside and out”.
Jennie Jackson Robertson called Vikki her “gorgeous best friend” as she paid tribute to her.
She said: “I can’t believe I’m writing this. My darling Vikki Soloman, my absolutely gorgeous best friend. I can’t get my head around this, you were the kindest human, the laughs and memories I will cherish forever, and I will miss you so much, until we meet again.”

Michelle Hogg also paid tribute to Vikki and said she was “still trying to process” the news of her death.
She said: “I can’t believe what’s happened to you my darling girl. We are absolutely heartbroken you did not deserve this, the most beautiful woman inside and out. Still trying to process this news today.”
Paula Obrien Psychic Medium, who said Vikki had been coming to her shows for years, was also among those to share memories of Vikki.

An emotional Facebook post signed “Paula and Jess” read: “Every time she came along there would be a smile, a hug, and a laugh. She was always telling me and Jess she was going to do our lips one day, and we’d joke about it every time we met. Those are the little memories that stay with you.
“The hardest part of this work isn’t standing on a stage connecting with Heaven. It’s when one of those beautiful faces looking back at you suddenly becomes someone you’re saying goodbye to.
“None of us knows what tomorrow will bring. If today teaches us anything, it’s to hold those you love a little tighter. Tell people how much they mean to you. Don’t leave the words unsaid.
“My heart goes out to Vikki’s children, her family, her friends and to everyone whose life she touched. I cannot begin to imagine the pain they are carrying.

“Sleep peacefully, beautiful lady. May you now be wrapped in nothing but love, light and peace until the day you are reunited with those who love you.”
Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton also paid tribute to the Edinburgh mum, who he worked with as new laws passed through parliament.
He said: “The heartbreaking news of the death of Vikki Soloman in East Craigs last night is a profound shock to our community, and to me personally.
“I worked closely with Vikki as new laws governing the beauty and aesthetics sector passed through Parliament in March. She was a proud ambassador for her industry and taught me so much about her line of work.
“She loved what she did and I enjoyed her effervescent charm every time we met.

“The police must now be allowed to do their job and provide much needed answers, but this is a shocking incident and it will cast a long shadow over our community. My thoughts are with her children and those who loved her at this awful time.”
