Officers are appealing for information about the incident and are keen to speak to the occupants of two vehicles that stopped at the scene.

Road Policing Inspector Steve Manson said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and who hasn’t already spoken to police to come forward.

“I am particularly keen for the occupants of a Silver Audi TT and a White Vauxhall Corsa, who appeared to stop after collision, to come forward.

“They may have information that could help us with our enquiries.

“I would also like to thank drivers in the area this morning, especially parents and children attending Kittybrewster Primary School for their patience whilst we have been attending to this incident.”

Police said the road will remain closed while they carry out investigations and they urged all HGV drivers to avoid the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
