Woman dies after being hit by train in Aberdeenshire

A WOMAN in her 50s has died after being struck by a passenger train on the outskirts of Huntly in Aberdeenshire.

The woman, who has not been named, was killed on the main Aberdeen to Inverness line in an incident involving the 12.50pm Aberdeen to Inverness service.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
