Two road fatalities in the south–west

Police have named a driver killed in a crash with a lorry as he towed a caravan.

David Reilly, of Livingston, died in the A74 collision at Ecclefechan, Dumfries and Galloway, in the early hours of Saturday. A second man died in a separate smash in Dumfries and Galloway on Monday. George Gibson, 77, from Dalbeattie, on the A75 when his car and a lorry crashed head-on.
