Traffic delays on M8 due to severe fog

Commuters travelling in the Central Belt are facing lengthy delays this morning due to severe fog in the east.

The heavy mist is affecting visiblity on the M8 Eastbound, particularly at Junction 6 Newhouse and Junction 4 Whitburn through to Junction 2 Claylands, where traffic is slow.

Drivers are being advised to use caution and leave plenty of time for journeys.
