Tay Road Bridge: Drivers advised to use alternate route as Tay Road Bridge closed

Traffic Scotland has confirmed that the Tay Road Bridge has been closed.

Drivers using this route are advised to take an alternate route.

It is unclear how long the bridge will be closed for.

Police Scotland has confirmed that the bridge has been closed due to a concern for person.

The Tay Road Bridge takes the A92 road across the Firth of Tay from Newport-on-Tay to Dundee.

UPDATE: The bridge has now reopened.
