Swan on M74 stops traffic as police called to capture bird
MOTORISTS on the M74 were forced to slow down when confronted by a swan on the motorway.
Police had to remove the bird from road at the approach to J1A, near Polmadie Road, shortly before 10am.
All three lanes were were restricted for approximately 15 minutes to allow officers to capture the swan and place it in the boot of their car.
Its condition is not known.
