Stirling crash: Man dies after car and motorbike collision

A 52-year-old man has died following a crash near Stirling.

A collision between a white Volkswagen Golf and black Suzuki motorbike happened on Roman Road, Plean, on Sunday at 1.05pm.

Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other injuries.

The road was closed for six hours to allow police to investigate the incident.

Sergeant David Ross, of Stirling road policing unit, said: "Our thoughts go out to the family and friends who have been affected by this incident.

"Inquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision and we are appealing to anyone who may have any information.

"If you were driving on the road at the time or have witnessed the crash, I would ask that you contact police.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1698 of Sunday, September 13 2020."
