SIX people have been taken to hospital following a crash near a roundabout.

Two vehicles and two pedestrians were involved in yesterday’s collision close to the Inshes roundabout in Inverness.

Both pedestrians and the four occupants of a blue Honda Jazz car were taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Police Scotland said.

A number of the casualties are said to have suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The collision, which also involved a white Ford Transit van, happened at around 7pm yesterday.

The scene of the crash, Sir Walter Scott Drive, was closed for three hours while police investigations were carried out. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash contact them on 101.
